Just a quick update everyone.
I was able to finish last night, despite drunkenness from three glasses of champagne and about 5 glasses of red wine the whole day yesterday, the novel Chocolat which was also turned into a movie starring Johnny Depp.
After reading the last page, I rushed outside the room like a kid and blurt out to MK that the movie changed the ending of the story and I am broken-hearted because the fairy tale romance that I was expecting didn't end up "happily ever after".
But it was a good book, a very delicious read.

I did not read Chocolat, but loved the movie.
Here's my question are you glad the movie did not follow the ending of the book or do you wish it had?
on the first thought, i like that in the movie, roux and vianne ended up together but then again, @ lil ms blogger it would be just another fairy tale romance that im already so used to. so, i guess its ok that roux found happiness in the arms of another woman.
as for vianne, i think she can manage. anyway, its not her first time to be alone...

Yeah, it's a good book but I also loved the movie. Maybe because Johnny Depp was there. LOL But it's true what you said about the ending. Although I didn't really expect it.
