Don't you notice? Lately Ive been reading a lot and it shows in my posts. I've set aside shopping for a while, not even dropping by the shops, not even looking. I need to save up for some things, the trip to Budapest, a business-lifestyle magazine (or a website, depends what comes first) and possible sky dive next year, and other trips that might come along the way. I am also waiting for the fall/winter sale because I need to update my wardrobe. The cold season is coming....
So to keep my hands off the clothes and shoe racks and save my bank account from completely, I am doing mostly reading, writing and going outdoors lately. I don't go to the shops anymore, not even looking. My time is mostly spent on reading and house chores and other duties in between. I wish I have more time but of course, the other things should also be present to balance everything.
This week, my eyes are set to finish The Kita Runner. It's a heart breaking story and probably the first to make me cry with the first few chapters. Tragic is an understatement, it's a totally devastating read.
The words and narratives are simply but it tugs at your heart like a cheesy love song. What's make it a more chilling read is that it might not be a fiction after all...that in some parts of the world, these stories are reality.
I'll write a full length review this week and I still owe you the dual review of Chocolat movie and book. My writing assignments are also piling up, it would take a very strong personal discipline to sit down and not be bothered by the internet so I can finish everything.
And also, the Caiway internet service seems to have a problem this weekend, and until today it is inaccessible. I am using a usb stick but it conks up every hour or so. I hate interruptions when I am writing so I better wait for the service to up again before I start.
For now, let me go back to my book. Happy Monday everyone, hope your week starts right.
